Hierbei stehen folgenden Fragestellungen im Mittelpunkt der Auseinandersetzung: Warum wurde die college zum leitenden Medium des Dadaismus? Wieso entschieden sich viele Dadaisten ausschließlich mit der Collagen-Technik zu arbeiten und used to be bedeutete die Arbeit mit dieser Technik für ihre Kunst? Wie korrespondieren die Beschaffenheit und die Eigenschaften des Mediums university mit der Idee des Dadaismus?

Im vierten Kapitel wird auf einige dadaistische Künstler und ihre jeweils spezifische Ausprägung der Dada-Collage eingegangen. Es kann und es ist auch nicht das Ziel eine umfassende Darstellung dadaistischer Collagen zu bringen, sondern es kann nur ein Einblick in die unterschiedlichen und vielfältigen künstlerischen Auseinandersetzungen gegeben werden. Genauso kann im Schlusskapitel nur versucht werden, einen Ausblick auf die Rezeption der college im 20. und 21. Jahrhundert zu geben.
